Get to Know Me
I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Mary in 2010 and became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2014. I am also an APTA Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Oncologic Physical Therapy and have practiced in outpatient physical therapy clinics in Washington and North Dakota.
My oncology rehabilitation experience began with lymphedema risk reduction and has expanded to supporting patients during and after cancer treatment. I treat concerns such as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, cancer-related fatigue, weakness and deconditioning, lymphedema, and mobility limitations following reconstructive surgery. Treatment may incorporate manual lymphatic drainage, scar tissue mobilization, and Pilates-based strength training.
I value being part of each patient’s care team, whether that involves communicating with medical providers or coordinating care with other rehabilitation professionals. Patients can expect me to listen to their story, understand their goals, and create an individualized plan of care. Physical therapy can be beneficial soon after a cancer diagnosis to help reduce the effects of treatment, but patients may also benefit months or years after treatment has ended. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping people recognize what remains possible and regain confidence in their bodies as they navigate life during and after cancer.
As a former collegiate pole vaulter, I also enjoy working with track and field athletes. Outside the clinic, I enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors.
