Treating Head Pain – Our Approach

Optimum Therapies uses a full-body approach when treating the head and neck.

Often there can be other underlying issues. For example, there may be dysfunctions in the mid-back or shoulders that can contribute to head and neck pain.

There are also other dysfunctions that can occur with the head especially with the vestibular(balance) system or after a concussion.

Our treatment is typically grouped in three main stages:

  • Beginning – more hands-on to manage symptoms and decrease muscle and joint stiffness
  • Mid process – more movement-based interventions are needed to improve coordination, movement patterns, and strength
  • Final stages – improving endurance to expand activities and decrease the chance of re-injury
